New Delhi: Amid the worsening relations between the key partners of the Grand Alliance Government – Janata Dal-United (JD-U) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) – Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Saturday night held a meeting with senior JD-U leader Sharad Yadav.

According to a report of a leading national daily, Sharad Yadava nd Sonia Gandhi both want to keep the Grand Alliance intact, which has reached on the verge of a collapse since the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) levelled corruptions charges against Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his party, however, have completely denied accepting the demands for Tejashwi's resignation.

The report has further claimed that the two leaders met at Sonia Gandhi’s residence and during the 40-minute-long meeting, they discussed the ways to come out of the political crises the state is facing.

It may be mentioned that CBI has registered FIR against Tejashwi Yadav for illegally acquiring a Railways' land. RJD chief Lalu Yadav has also cleared that his son would not resign as the Deputy CM at any cost.
