Earning of Banke Bihari temple doubles up in last three years

Vrindavan: With the increase in the footfall of devotees, the earnings of world famous Banke Bihari temple has almost doubled up in the last three years.

“The over 100 year old temple has earned Rs 112 crores in 2015-16. The major amount has come from the donation. The amount also includes the interest earned on the fixed deposits in banks,” sources claimed.

The record earning is likely to go up in the current fiscal due to increase in the flow of devotees, souces claimed.

More than 1.26 crore devotees visited the temple in 2015, said an officer of the Uttar Pradesh tourism department.
