Lucknow: Releasing a video, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on Wednesday appealed to his supporters, who have surrounded the CBI court in Panchkula district, Haryana, to return home.

It is worth mentioning that a CBI court is scheduled to pronounce verdict in a sexual assault case against Baba Ram Rahim on Friday. A high alert was declared by the Haryana government to maintain law and order across the state amid the hearing of the case. A number of trains have also been cancelled to keep the situation under control.

Most of his followers, however, have refused to return and have sat on the roads of Panchkula district. Women and children have also reached the district to show support to their spiritual leader.

The national media is extensively covering the entire matter and is still present outside the court.

On being asked why were they overlooking Dera chief's request, a follower said, "We are not doing anything unlawful here. We will not return till we see our Baba. We are ready to sacrifice our lives for him."
