Srinagar: Ayesha Aziz, a resident of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir has made her country proud by being appointed as the youngest Air Force pilot of India .

After getting the news Ayesha excitedly said, “More than being India’s youngest Air Force pilot, I am happy for having accomplished my childhood goal.”

“While I would enjoy take-off and landing of the plane, my brother would be scared and always sleep during the flight,” stated the newly appointed 20-year-old pilot while recalling her childhood memories.

She would get her commercial pilot license after she completes her BSc for which she has to complete 80 hours of the total 200 hours of flight.

Achievements of Ayesha:

  • One month after she turned 16, Ayesha created history after getting licensed as a pilot.
  • She currently pilots single engine Cessna 152 and Cessna172.
  • Apart from studying aviation the girl had also did photo shoots for several magazines and had appeared in several commercials.
  • A student of Christ Church School, Mumbai, Ayesha visited NASA while studying class 12th. She was among three to be chosen by a NASA team
  • The brave girl also participated in activities-- scuba diving, moon walking and bunny walk-- essential for an astronaut to know.

Ayesha’s message to the girls of country:

  • The IAF pilot believes that every girl is capable of creating history. “You should hold your head high and not let others put you down,” stated the confident young girl.
