Armed robber loot Hyderabad bound Telangana Exp near Jhansi

Dehradun: Two boys swept away at Robbers Cave

Jhansi: Some armed robbers entered into a AC coaches of Hyderabad-bound Telenagana Express train and looted passengers of cash and valuables near Giraun station between Jhansi and Lalitpur stations on Delhi-Mumbai trunk route in the wee hours on Tuesday.

According to the sources, more than six armed dacoit entered into the AC coaches of train and robbed the passengers. The robbers assaulted the passengers and stabbed a couple when they resisted.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Police Force (RPF) swung into action after they got the information about it and the train was later stooped at Lalitpur railway station.

The robbery:

  • The robbery happened in the Hyderabad bound Telangana Express.
  • Passenger Shailendra and his wife were stabbed by the robbers on resisting the loot.
  • The train was stopped by chain pulling.
  • Robbers entered into the AC compartment saying that they were electric man.
  • Dacoits looted B-3 and B-4 AC coaches of the train.
  • They were laden with fire and sharp arms.
  • Earlier also, similar incidents had taken place on this route.
  • Investigation was underway.
