Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Dinesh Mohaniya arrested

New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Saturday arrested Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Dinesh Mohaniya in connection with molestation charges.

• Mohaniya allegedly misbehaved with women on Friday last when agitators came to his office complaining of sever water crisis.
• The complainants have got their statement recorded before metropolitan magistrate on Friday.
• Case under non bailable sections 354, 354 (a) and 354 (b) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) were filed against Mohaniya.
• The police have also registered a case under Section 506 (criminal intimidation), Section 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and Section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC against AAP MLA.
