Patna: A case of police brutality has come to the fore. The case relates to beating of a woman protester by a senior officer in Patna, Bihar's capital, on Thursday, April 28.

- Some families living in the central part of town were forcibly allegedly evicted by a real estate developer's goons.
- Following the incident, the police arrived and the builder's goons fled.

- During the police attack a woman demonstrator was allegedly brutally beaten by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kailash Prasad.
DIG assured to take action:
- Deputy Inspector General of Police Shalin assured the people that necessary actions would be taken after examining the video clip.
- "Senior Superintendent of Police has been asked to examine the entire footage and then, if required, recommend necessary action," stated the DIG.
