Five persons, including the priest, two parishioners as well as two nuns were held by the attackers after they barged into the church in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray in Normandy region of France.

“Two terrorists, who had taken a priest and several others hostage on knifepoint at a church of north-western France, were shot dead. The men cried ‘Daesh’ before slashing the 86-year-old priest’s throat,” said the French police.
