New Delhi: Handling fake news on social media is a very difficult task in itself, although tech companies are constantly trying to stop it. In this episode, it has been reported that microblogging site Twitter is working on three new levels. With the help of these tools, Twitter will curb fake news spreading on its platform. These levels can be pinned with tweets that are false or spreading rumours.

Twitter's Three Levels Fighting Fake News:

The three levels on which Twitter is working to fight fake news include Get the latest, Stay Informed and Misleading. Through the first level, people will get the latest information about a particular topic. Through this level, people will also get the follow-up of any case.

Reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong has given information about these three levels by tweeting. He has also shared the screenshot, although at present the testing of these tools is going on. Twitter has not officially given any information about these levels. Apart from this, at present there is no information available about when these levels will be made live.

Fake news Alert:

Before these levels go live, Twitter will have to create a huge database to understand which level to apply to which tweet. Twitter will also have to develop an algorithm that will give information about whether a tweet is fake. Also, to confirm the fake tweet, the company will also have to share the link of the correct story.

The Get the Latest level will get the latest report on a topic, with Stay Informed you will get detailed information about that topic and the Misleading level will update people about fake tweets and misinformation.
