New Delhi: Twitter has sent a security message to its Android users for security. Twitter has alerted its users through this message. Actually a bug has come up on the site, due to which Twitter has advised many users to update the app.

Due to this bug, private messages of users are being revealed. Android 8 and Android 9 users were getting more affected due to the bug. However, according to the social media platform Twitter (company), 96 percent of Android users already have Android security patches, which protects them from such bugs.

Security notification for Twitter users:

At the same time, Twitter has also claimed on this matter that no information related to taking advantage of it has been revealed so far. The company said that it has been detected in time. Twitter informed that only 4 percent of users were affected by it.

For this they have been sent security notifications. An alert is visible to these users as soon as they turn on the app, in which it is advised to update the app. The company said that users should update the Twitter app to the latest version, in which this bug has been removed.

The company cautioned that in order to protect your Twitter data, please update the new version of Twitter on all Android devices. By the way, the bug has not affected Twitter for iOS or Twitter.com. For the information, let us know that the fix of this bug was released in 2018 itself, but many users still need to update their app.
