Instagram PC: Social Media

There's no need to be concerned if any of your Instagram photographs or posts are removed. A function in the app allows you to restore a photo after it has been erased. Many people are unaware of this function; if you are one of them, allow me to explain how it works. In the Instagram app, you must follow a few basic steps.

Stories and posts can restore

Users can review and restore deleted stories within 24 hours with a feature rolled out by Instagram last year. On the other hand, users get 30 days after they are deleted to restore archived stories and permanent posts. This feature has been introduced to protect users from the situation when posts were deleted in case the account was hacked.

App receives recently deleted folder

The platform has included a recently deleted folder in the app to offer a new feature. Now when a photo or post is deleted, the folder is saved and the user can access it for the next 30 days. When you go to this folder, the user gets two options to restore or permanently delete the deleted post. However, the post can be restored only after verification.

Didn't get the feature before

Users did not get the option to restore or recover posts that had been deleted so far in the app. That is, even if a photo or video is accidentally deleted, it cannot be recovered. Other social media platforms do not give such an option to users. On Instagram, users can also use the archive feature to hide a post for a while.

These easy steps to follow

Open the profile after updating the Instagram app on the latest version. Tap the hamburger menu that appears in the top-right corner here and go to Settings. A recently deleted fold will appear when you go to the account section. Going to this folder will show all posts that have been deleted within 30 days. Now they can be permanently deleted or reposted by tapping the deleted photo or post.

Your identity has to be confirmed

The deleted post will be required to be verified so that no other user can restore it. This will be asked to be done as a security layer while restoring old photos. The user will have to enter their registered phone number or email ID OTP. In the end, deleted Instagram photos or posts will be reappearing in their place and the same can be done with stories.

More than a billion people use the Instagram app and users spend an average of 53 minutes a day on the app. More than 70 percent of active Instagram users are under 35 years of age, which means it can be called a youth platform.
