Reliance Jio 4G data fastest in March also, Airtel second: TRAI data

New Delhi: Reliance Jio has yet again beaten its contemporaries- Airtel, Idea and Vodafone and topped the charts of mobile networks for the month of March.

As per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the average download speed on Reliance Jio is 18.48 mbps. In February data, Jio had recorded an average download speed of 16.48 mbps.

Jio also recorded highest speed in all technologies (2G, 3G and 4G), the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India stated.

Bharti Airtel is at the second spot with an average download speed of 6.57 mbps, lesser than it recorded in the month of February i.e. 7.66 mbps.

Vodafone and Idea Cellular followed these two at third and fourth spot with average download speed of 6.14 mbps and 5.9 mbps.

TRAI calculates download speed via its MySpeed application.

It may be mentioned here that as per the OpenSignal's report, earlier this month, Airtel was far ahead from Jio in terms of download speed.
