Meta to launch web version of Threads soon
It is expected that the web version will be more useful for the users. Meta, however did not announce the official date for launching the web version but Instagram head Adam Mosseri said that it could happen in the very near future.
Tech giant Meta had launched Thread previously to compete with X, formerly Twitter. Now according to some reports, Meta is going to launch the web version of Threads expectedly in this week.
It is expected that the web version will be more useful for the users. Meta, however did not announce the official date for launching the web version but Instagram head Adam Mosseri said that it could happen in the very near future.
In a post on Threads, Mosseri said "We are close on web...," on Friday.
According to a report of Wall Street Journal, the web version may be available in this week.
Threads, which was launched for Android and iOS users on July 5th, 2023, gained 100 million users in just five days, but after this the popularity of Threads went down because the interaction of users again shifted towards X.
According to a report of analytics platform Similarweb claimed that the 49.3 million users used the Threads in a month which was previously recorded as 10.3 million.
Meta, however introduced many new features last week for Threads users, including direct sharing posts on Instagram DMs, custom alt-text for photos and videos, and mention button to tag someone's account.
Now, it will be interesting to see that how much the web version will affect the users.
