Actually, the company has increased the number of participants to 8 for group voice and video calling. That is, you will now be able to add 8 people to group voice and video calling. There was a lot of demand from the company for this feature. Because during the lockdown people are in desperate need of video calling.

WhatsApp head Will Cathcart has confirmed that this new update will be available to all Android and iPhone users by next week. According to information the company had introduced the call option with 8 participants in the group last week in Beta version for Android and iOS.
