California: Apple offers iPhone users to take out the photographer in them and go famous, just by taking part in its #ShotOniPhone publicity campaign and the world could see your iPhone clicked photo magnified to the size of a billboard.

To take part in the contest one can upload photos clicked on their iPhones on Twitter, Instagram or Weibo with the #ShotOniPhone tag. You can also email them your best captured pictures. Photos must be submitted by Feb. 7.

These photos will then be selected by 11-person panel, including former Barack Obama presidential photographer Pete Souza, Apple camera software leader Jon McCormack and Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller.

Apple will then shortlist the participants and will announce 10 winners by Feb 26. The selected photos of winners will be put up on billboards and other Apple marketing channels.

Apple has for decades tried to show off the creative potential of its products in the hands of musicians and artists, but with millions of iPhones sold, that creative potential is now a lot closer to the average person.

iPhone has managed to establish itself as a formidable brand over many years and has been highlighting the photography potential of its users from time to time.

Though the Contestants grant Apple rights to use their photos for a year, however, it requires exclusive commercial rights to the photos for billboard use.

Participating in a global contest isn't only thrilling and exhilarating but it will also win you publicity and might be any prize money or something extra-ordinary.
