New Delhi: Photo sharing app Instagram is currently conducting a new feature test that will allow posts to be viewed in chronic order in its feed. Chronological orders mean that the latest Instagram posts will be seen at the top of users. Instagram head Adam Mosseri shared a video on his official Twitter account. He said the company is testing two new feed options.

Now you will get three different Instagram feed options

Mosseri shared the video from her Twitter handle and said Instagram users will soon get the option to choose from three feed options. These options will be available to users on the app's home screen and users will be able to change their feed view at any time. When selecting from the three options, users will be shown different posts in their Instagram feed. Users had been demanding such an option from the platform for a long time.

All three feed options will work like this

With the first 'Home' feed option, users will see feed posts as they do now. The order of posts in these is linked to the user's choice. With the second 'Favorites' feed option, users will be shown posts from favorite accounts selected by them in chronological order. With the third 'Following' feed option, users will see posts from all accounts followed by them in chronological order.

Users have been demanding such an option for a long time

Instagram users have been demanding chronological feed for a long time. In fact, the sequence of posts users now see in Instagram posts depends on many aspects. The platform does not show posts shared before or after in order, which often prevents users from showing some posts. It's critical that you have the choice of getting a chronic feed so that you can readily access the most recent postings if you want to "Mosseri explained. "

How long will all three feed options be available?

Social media app users will get new features Adam Moseri said that these options will be made a part of the app in the first quarter of 2022. "Testing has now started, which will be completed in the next few weeks and we hope to be able to give our users the full experience in the first half of the year. This feature can be made a part of future updates.

The announcement was made about a month ago

Adam Mosseri had announced about a month ago that the chronological feed option would be brought back to the platform but the change would be optional. "We want to make it clear that we are creating new options so that people can choose from more options to their liking and we are not taking everyone back to the chronological feed," he had said in a video. "

More than a billion people worldwide use the Instagram app and users spend an average of 53 minutes a day on the app. An average of more than 10 hashtags are installed in each post shared on the platform.
