Photo sharing platform Instagram has come up with a new feature for its users, which matches the TikTok feature. Users in the app will be able to share videos in response to comments on reel videos. The Reels feature was also inspired by TikTok and the new visual reply is similar to the feature it features, with which video can be shared and replied in response to the video. This feature is currently limited to comments made only on reels.

The company confirmed the same via Twitter

Instagram tweeted about the new feature and informed users. In a tweet from the official account, the company wrote, "We are excited to launch Reels Visual Reply and with this feature, creators will be able to connect with their audience in a new way. According to the photo-sharing app, with this feature, videos can be shared like stickers in the reels videos' replies.

Only creators will be able to use features

The visual reply feature will only allow creators to respond to comments with the help of videos. That is, only those who have posted a reel video can share the video in response to the comments on it. After watching a reel video like this, not all followers will be able to share videos like comments on it. The option of sharing videos in the video's reply should now be restricted to creators only.

How the new visual reply feature will work?

To use the new feature, you must first share a reel video. You will see a camera icon next to the composition bar while replying to a comment on this video. After tapping this icon, you will be able to upload existing reels videos or record new videos. The video will be shown to the rest of the Instagram users as a comment.

Watch 2021 review on Instagram and Facebook

The Instagram app is following year-in-review trends at the end of 2021. The app provides information on the new feature playback, which will enable users to view stories shared in the last 12 months and share a full-year review. On the other hand, a similar option is being available on Facebook called Year Together. This will enable you to see photos, locations, and other experiences shared with friends together in 2021.

Instagram's userbase is more than a billion

More than a billion people around the world use the Instagram app. An average of more than 10 hashtags are installed in each post shared on the platform. More importantly, more than 70 percent of active Instagram users are under 35 years of age, which is what can be called a youth social media platform. In addition, average users spend 53 minutes a day on the app.
