New Delhi: Google's own Android App Store has earned $ 11.2 billion or about 82,320 crores in 2019 from Google Play. For the first time in the history of Google Play Store, Google has made public the earnings from Play Store. Google has given this information in a US court. Let us tell you that Google Play was launched on 22 October 2008, which was later renamed as Google Play Store.

Google Play Store Revenue:

Google has made its Play Store earnings public after the Attorney General for Utah and 36 other US states and districts sued Google over antitrust violations on the App Store. This includes in-app purchases and store advertising earnings.

Google may face another investigation by the end of 2022, as several companies allege that Google abuses its rights to sell apps on the App Store. Simply put, Google is accused of monopolizing the App Store.

Usually, we do not think about the earning of a free app while downloading it, but you will be surprised to know that the highest earning is from the free app itself. About 98 percent of the apps downloaded from the Google Play Store are free. The top 8 gaming apps are among the top 10 highest grossing apps on the Play Store.

Let us tell you that to list the app on the Google Play Store, you have to pay. Developers have to pay $ 25, or about Rs 1,830, as operation cost on the Play Store. Apart from this, some apps are paid i.e. you have to pay money to download them. Apart from this, eBooks are also paid which are downloaded from Google Play Store. Many companies also give money to promote their apps, from which Google earns. You also have to pay to watch movies on Google Play Store.
