Google Earthquake Alert to be launched in more countries soon!

New Delhi: People have been frightened by the frequent earthquakes in Assam last week. Today technology has evolved a lot but still very little accurate information about the earthquake is available, although the technology giant Google has now taken the front. Google has said that it will soon launch an earthquake alert feature in some other countries.

Google Earthquake Update:

Google's earthquake alert will give its Android users, there is no information about how long its update will come for iOS. Google's Earthquake Alert was already for some areas of the US, but now it has also been issued for Greece and New Zealand.

Android users will also have the option to turn earthquake alerts off and on.

Coming soon in India:

Google first released Android users in August 2020. A report by Verge though says that Google's earthquake alert feature is not as effective for those who are very close to the earthquake.

Distant people get accurate and firsthand information about earthquakes. Users of Washington, US, received an alert about the earthquake in May last year through Google. Google has not yet given information about when the earthquake alert feature will be released for India and other countries.
