Social media company Facebook (now Meta) has been working on new products for a long time, which can be worn in hand. The new report has revealed that Facebook or Meta may launch smartwatches with not one but two designs. Design renders of this product have been prepared as per the patent taken by the company. The features have also been revealed in leaks and rumors for a long time.

Information on two patents revealed

PhoneArena's new report shares the design of Facebook or Meta Smartwatch, which has been developed by Letsgodigital on the basis of two patents. The design of the first smartwatch is a square dial but can come with a detachable display. On the other hand, the second smartwatch is being prepared with a round dial and has three built-in camera sensors. These smartwatches can find removable straps.

Square Watch to come with touch controls

Patents associated with the new smartwatches have been shared by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). The first watch is designed like an Apple Watch and has a square dial. This watch can come with a detachable display and does not have any crown or button. That is, this variant can come with full-touch controls and no physical button will be given.

Three Camera Lens Round Smartwatch

In the second meta smartwatch, the company can provide three camera lenses, which will have a bezel rotated. In this way, users will get the option to use different lenses by rotating the bezel. The setup will be given like a triple camera setup found in the smartphone, which will include a telephoto lens, an ultra-wide lens, and a third zoom or fisheye lens. Facebook's new smartwatch will come as a full-flashed watch instead of a fitness band design edited by Google's ownership Fitbit.

Work as an input device for AR and VR

Reports say these smartwatches will work with special AR and VR systems. Also, Meta in Wearables can be given the option to use the company's upcoming AR headset as an input device. This wearable can have fitness features like heart-rate tracking, step-counting, and sleep monitoring. The company can also opt for temperature monitoring and users will be able to use it for social interactions like video conferencing.

When will the Facebook smartwatch hit the market?

One of the two smartwatches that have surfaced could be launched in the first half of this year. However, it is not yet clear if the models in the image will have final production. So much so that Facebook is looking for new opportunities in the gadget segment and can also bring other wearables. The code associated with the Facebook View app reveals that the watch can be named 'Milan' by the company.
