New Delhi: Truecaller, a popular phone app for Android users has released an update to its software. It is possible to view the caller ID of an unknown number and block spam calls using this application. The new Truecaller 12 update for Android users will be released in phases over several months and will include a slew of new features in addition to the new user interface. These include video caller ID, call recording, and ghost calls, among other things.

All-new design layout

Truecaller has also made changes to the overall design and layout of the app. Many features are available for free and have been made available to all Android users. Some premium features, on the other hand, will only be available to users who have a Truecaller Gold subscription and who are also premium users of the Truecaller app. Calls and SMS are separated into separate tabs in the new interface, making it easier to see them all at once.

It's easy to record the call

If you have an Android phone and want to record calls, you can do so with the help of Truecaller's free recording tool. According to the company, "Even if the manufacturer of your device does not provide you with the option of call recording, you can still record calls using a newly introduced feature. Truecaller does not have access to any of the recordings because they are stored in the smartphone's local storage. Users can listen to these recordings either in the app or through the file browser on their computer."

New feature for Gold and Premium Subscribers

There has also been an addition to the Truecaller app, which includes a new prank and utility tool. However, this feature will only be available to Truecaller Premium and Gold subscribers for the time being. Truecaller stated that "With this feature, you can choose a name, phone number, and photo for the contact, giving the impression to people sitting nearby that you are being called on their behalf. Select a contact from their phonebook and schedule it to receive ghost calls from that contact."

Video Caller ID

Users can also take advantage of a new video caller ID feature that has been added with the latest updates. When a phone call is received from the device, a short video of contact will be displayed on the screen with the help of this feature. Users will be able to select short videos for their friends or family members from a library of available options. In addition, they will be given the option to choose from pre-built video templates or to create their videos from scratch.

Call announce feature

According to the company, the call announcement feature, along with the most recent update, will be beneficial to Android users who subscribe to gold and premium subscription packages. From the name, it is clear that the caller's name and phone number will be announced when the call announcement feature is activated. In addition, the most recent updates have resolved the bugs that had been present in the app. Following the launch of Android, it can be extended to all mobile app users.
