On the microblogging platform Twitter, users can now post video reactions. Photos or videos can now be used to replace tweets with this new feature. Users will be able to respond to tweets instead of text by embedding a copy of the tweet in the video. If you use the photo-sharing app Instagram, you may be aware that creators have access to a similar feature called reels.

The company took to Twitter handle to share the information

The social media site has shared the new feature on its official Twitter handle. Users will now be shown the new 'Quote Tweet with Reaction' option while retweeting a post. Once tapped on this option, users will be sent to the new screen, where they will be able to choose to respond to a photo or video. Users will also be able to record videos by tapping on the camera icon.

Original tweets to be shown in the video

With the new feature, users will also get the option to upload pre-recorded videos to the camera roll. The original tweet will automatically be made part of the video recorded by the user. The interface of the new feature is largely similar to the Fleets feature, which Twitter stopped giving last year. The video reactions feature is not yet rolled out to all users and is in the testing phase.

Testing with iPhone users

The company is currently testing the new feature with iPhone users and nothing has been said so far on its availability for Android users. In a tweet, the social media company wrote, "Tweet reaction videos are now available on Twitter! When you tap the retweet icon during testing on iOS, you will be able to customize your response to the tweet with the 'Quote Tweet with Reaction' option. "

Fear of misuse of the new feature

Many users have expressed concern over the misuse of the feature on Twitter. These users believe that reaction quote tweets can be used to target and harass users. For this, Twitter may soon give creators the option to off the reaction feature. At present, Twitter has not said anything about giving the option to take off the reactions so far.

Instagram reels get such a feature

The Instagram app has also recently introduced a new feature called Visual Reply, which is available only to reel creators. That is, only someone who has posted a reel video can share the video in response to the comments on it. After watching reel videos like this, not all followers can share videos like comments on it. Videos like stickers can be shared in the reply of reels videos with the feature.
