The audio social app clubhouse has rolled out the support of 13 new languages, with the total number of local languages available in the app reaching 26. The 13 languages included with the new update include two Indian languages Marathi and Bengali. Apart from this, the new Topics feature has also become a part of the app. With topics, users will be able to show up on their interest profiles, which will enable others to learn more about them.

The info came through a blog post

The clubhouse explained the new updates and features attached to the social platform in the blog post. The new languages that have been made a part of it include Arabic, Bengali, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Persian, Lambo, Marathi, Nepali, Somali, Thai, Turkish, and Yoruba. Users who want localized experience from the app can choose one of these languages. The social media app on iOS now offers the option to choose from 130 languages.

Support for these Indian languages

Indian users now get support from Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada in addition to Marathi and Bengali. The other languages included earlier with the localization feature are French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Spanish. Apart from this, the audio social app has also updated its app icon in the past and this is the first time an Indian face has become its icon. The app icon features Anirudh Deshmukh who lives in Mumbai.

The new "Topics" feature also made part of the app

The new Topics feature has also been included in the Clubhouse app with the latest updates. This feature is a rebranded version of interest and gives users the option to choose from thousands of topics. These topics range from city names, universities to sports and music. These topics will be displayed on profiles, which will let followers know what topic a user is interested in discussing.

These topics will be shown in other sections of the app

Topics will also appear in other sections of the app, including topic pages, in addition to user profiles. In addition to rooms, clubs, and other users discussing them, users will also see rooms and clubs related to one subject. Similarly, rooms can show topics so that the rest can learn about the discussion in them. The company says users may also get the option to create topics soon.

Clubhouse app brings a new trend

In early 2020, the clubhouse app for only iOS users came up with a new social media trend. Because of the success of this app, popular services like Twitter, Facebook, and Spotify have also come up with audio chatting features for users. Twitter's Spaces service has become the only audio service that is rivaling the clubhouse in terms of popularity and userbase. The clubhouse app now has millions of active users on Android as well.
