Check Out the New Explorer Tab and Warning Labels of Twitter

Lucknow: Microblogging website Twitter is testing many new features to give users a better experience. Now, apart from exploring tabs like TikTok short video feeds, new methods of showing warning labels on photos and videos are also being tested. Twitter users will be able to show their followers one-time warnings on a tweet or post, after which they will be shown content. However, the new feature will be given only to select users.

Users will be able to show their warning on tweets

"People use Twitter to talk about what's going on in the world, which can occasionally include sensitive topics," the firm noted in a tweet. "We're running an option test in which users may add a one-time warning to their photographs and videos before tweeting them, which will later display on tweets to others," Twitter said. Previously, users had to request a warning.

How warning labels are going to work?

Three dots have to be tapped while updating a photo platform. Then, after clicking on the flag icon in the lower right corner, you have to indicate which category the content falls under 'nudity', 'violence', or 'sensitivity'. After selecting them, users will be able to add labels themselves, which will appear on the screen before the rest of them can see the photo or video. This warning will be issued to a user before showing the content for the first time.

This will be the benefit of the new warning feature

Posts, photos, and videos related to death, suicide, murder, or crime are considered sensitive on social media platforms. Sometimes pictures associated with them can affect the viewer so they need to be warned. Users who post content instead of Twitter with the new feature will be able to decide for themselves which tweets should be warned. In this way, content that makes fewer people feel sensitive will also be seen after the warning label.

New Explore Section Warning Labels like Tik Tok

Twitter is testing a new Explore tab that will show in a feed app like TikTok. Twitter said, "With the explore experience, Twitter users will be able to see trading and good content. This will benefit users in select countries who use Twitter on Android or iOS devices. Initially, this section will be visible only to Twitter users in English and can undergo many changes.

Twitter giving earning opportunities

Twitter is offering many features related to earning its creators. The 'Super Followers' feature has also been rolled out for users in the recent past. With this feature, Twitter users will have to pay subscription fees instead of exclusive content and creators will get a chance to earn. The Tip Jar feature has also been rolled out to creators on all platforms in the recent past, through which they can take tips from their followers.
