Luxury carmaker BMW India has launched its much-awaited iX electric SUV in India. Along with the launch, the SUV can also be booked from the company's website or dealership. BMW iX is one of the company's three recently launched electric cars. Apart from iX, i4 Sedan Car and Mini Cooper will be launched next year. Let us know about this car.

BMW iX has muscular hoods, a large kidney grille, smooth LED headlights with two-striped DRL, and blue lines all over the body. It has unframed doors, glass on the outside, flush-fitted door handles, and designer 21-inch alloy wheels on its sides. In addition, a raked windscreen, a window wiper, a logo written iX, and thin wrap-around taillamps are placed on the back of the vehicle.

BMW iX electric SUV cabin swayed with modern features. It has a large curved display, which includes a 14.9-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch driver display screen. Hexagonal steering wheel and soft-touch leather upholstery give the cabin a premium look. On the other hand, 18-speaker Harman Cardon surround sound, flat floor bed central console given to give more leg space to rear passengers, and crystal touch luxury on doors experience luxury.

iX electric SUV features a 71kWh battery pack that generates 322bhp power and 630Nm torque. BMW boasts a sprint time of 0 to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds with a WLTP range of up to 425 km. It features an 11kW wall box charger as standard, which comes with DC charging for 150kW in electric SUV and AC charging up to 11kW.

BMW India will also provide a home charging kit with every car to facilitate electric vehicle charging to customers. It will be an 11-kW AC charger, capable of charging 100 percent in about seven hours. In addition, the company will install fast chargers at all touchpoints of the dealer network in 35 cities of India. According to the company's previous statement, all its dealerships will be equipped with 50 kW DC fast chargers.

BMW iX Electric SUV in India has been launched for Rs 1.16 crore (one-showroom) and delivery will begin next year. iX will take on Mercedes-Benz EQC, Audi e-Tron and e-Tron Sportback, and Jaguar I-Pace in its segment.

BMW iX is one of the safest electric vehicles in India. iX got a five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test, which means it has met all safety parameters SUV. It has got a 91 percent rating for adult occupation protection. It has scored 24 out of a maximum of 24 points for the safety of children and has got an 87 percent rating for safety features.
