Ministers and other dignitaries performed `asanas' (physical postures) with people in different districts as part of the International Yoga Day celebrations.
"Nineteen youngsters, all in their 20s, have died in the fire incident here. I'm told these youngsters were trapped in the building as the fire destroyed the staircase. Around three to four died after they jumped off the building," he said.
"It seems that Didi (Mamata) has completely lost her mental balance. She is losing her ground. She tarnished the democracy and indulged in 'didigiri' (similar to Hindi word 'dadagiri', meaning bullying)," Rupani told reporters.
The chief minister also said that Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have become the butt of jokes on social media.
"I feel pity for Rahul Gandhi seeing him being trolled excessively on social media over his immature behaviour. His image is of a non-serious politician...with his winks in Parliament, antics like hugging Modiji. All this shows his immaturity. His image is now worse than it was in 2014," he says.
