The director, who was set to helm the Hindi remake of 2011 Tamil horror comedy "Kanchana", announced his departure from the project on Twitter.
Lawrence, in a statement issued on Saturday, said there were "multiple reasons" for his exit, one of them being the first look poster which was released without any discussions with him.
It seems like Akki has now taken a break from doing social message bearing movies for a while and could be seen in his next horror-comedy 'Laxmmi Bomb' which is the remake of Tamil film 'Muni 2: Kanchana'. The film is directed by Raghava Lawrence, who directed the original 'Muni 2: Kanchana', which went on to become a blockbuster.
