There are 5,991 cases of corona per lakh population in the country. There are 5,944 cases reported per 1 million population in the world.
Nearly 11 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted daily on an average in the past six weeks as the cumulative tests have crossed 10.65 crore-mark, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
There has been no scarcity in oxygen supply in the last 10 months with the daily production capacity enhanced to 6,862 metric tonnes by September and projected to further increase to 7,191 metric tonnes by the end of October, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

The Health Ministry is keeping a close watch on the condition of corona in country. The Ministry of Health stated that the capacity to produce oxygen in the country is 6,900 MT.
According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, 76 thousand 472 cases of corona have been reported and 1,021 people have died.
In the Health Ministry press conference on corona virus, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that today the number of people recovering in the country is 3.4 times more than the active cases.
The guidelines stated that persons above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years are advised not to use gyms in closed spaces.
