Zim Vs Ind, 1st T20: Match Preview

Harare: Powered by some young guns, MS Dhoni led Indian team will try to continue their overriding performance in the opening encounter of the first quick-fire game of the three-match T20 series against Zimbabwe here on Saturday evening. After a 3-0 clean sweep on the hosts in ODIs, India is all set to deliver some more cracker performances in the T20 series.

India-

• In batting, the ODI series was completely dominated by Lokesh Rahul and Ambati Rayudu, who will put their best to apply their IPL experience in the first T20 game.
• Faiz Fazal and Karun Nair have also impressed in the given chances. Only one among the duo is expected to be included in the playing 11.
• Others are T20 specialist, which includes MS Dhoni, Manish Pandey and KedarJadhav.
• Bowling department is very well guided by Jasprit Bumrah, who was the leading wicket taker in the recently concluded ODI series.
• Barinder Sran, Dhawal Kulkarni Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel are also in midas touch.

Zimbabwe-

• Forgetting the troublesome, hosts will look for a fresh start in the shortest format of the game.
• Despite surrendering against vehement Indian side, Zimbabwe will focus to upset the visitors.
• Massive blow had already hit the team as Sean Williams and Craig Ervine were ruled out due to injuries during ODIs.
• This could be a debut match for the young gun Tapiwa Mufudza.
• Zimbabwe will rely on Chamu Chibhabha, Sikandar Raza, Graeme Cremera and Elton Chigumbura.
