Yuvraj Singh-Hazel Keech enter wedlock

Chandigarh: Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his lady love Hazel Keech on Wednesday tied the nuptial knot at the spiritual dera of Baba Ram Singh Ganduan Wale in village Duffera on Sirhind-Chandigarh Road here.

It was Yuvraj's mother Shabnam Singh who chose the marriage venue. Dera head Baba Ram Singh gave his blessings to the couple after the 'Anand Karaj' ceremony concluded.

Unlike the last night's cocktail party, the wedding was a low key affair as it was joined only by close friends and relatives of the couple. The wedding took place under tight security arrangements near the Dera.

It was Hazel's second visit to Dera as the couple had earlier visited the holy place after their engagement.

The husband and wife wore maroon-and-gold outfits. The wedding was performed as per Sikh rituals.

Yuvraj's father Yograj Singh, however, wasn't present at the wedding in the dera.

Yograj had earlier clarified the reason why he will not attend the wedding saying, he was against his son's wedding being solmanised by a Dera leader. He claimed, he believed in God but not in religious leaders.
