Yogeshwar Dutt sets an example; takes dowry of Re 1

Sonipat: Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, who had won a bronze medal in 2012 London Olympics, has shown a golden gesture after accepting a dowry of just Re 1.

With this praiseworthy act, he has set an example for millions. The engagement ceremony took place at Geetanjali garden here on Saturday. Haryana Sports Minister Anil Vij also marked his presence in the ceremony.

The ring ceremony of Yogeshwar Dutt, which took place on October 9, was attended by former Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi, Indian Wrestling Federation Chairman Brij Bhushan Sharan, Aam Aadmi Party State Chief Naveen Jai Hind and his wife Delhi Mahila Aayog President Swati Maalivaal.

The bride-to-be, Sheetal, is the daughter of Congress man Jai Bhagwan Sharma. The wedding will take place on January 16 in New Delhi.
