Port of Spain: West Indies were 62 for two at stumps in rain-curtailed first day play in the final cricket Test match of the four-match series with at the Queen’s Park Oval stadium in Port of Spain, Trindad .

Out of possible 90 overs, only 22 overs could be bowled on the opening day as the rains disrupted the play. Caribbean batsmen Kraigg Brathwaite (32) and Marlon Samuels (4) were at the crease before umpires called off the game for the day.

Electing to bat first, Windies batsmen lost early wickets in the form of opener Leon Johnson (9) and Darren Bravo (10). A disciplined Indian attack maintained decent line and length before rains played spoil-sport. Pacer Ishant Sharma and spinner R Ashwin bagged one wicket each.

Leading the series with 2-0, India will look for yet another win to be placed on the top of the Test ranking table.

Losing patience with inconsistent Shikhar Dhawan, the Indian team management brought in Murali Vijay as other opener with in-form Lokesh Rahul while left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja makes way for solid Chetshwar Pujara.
