London: Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna and Romanian Florin Mergea have qualified for the second round of the men’s doubles in Wimbledon championships on Friday.

The game was no less than any stressful affair for the Indo-Romanian pair as they claimed a tough-fought 7-5, 7-6 win against Croatian duo of Marin Draganja and Nikola Mektic.

The nail-biting opening encounter lasted 80 minutes.

Marin Draganja and Nikola Mektic have shown their brilliance but failed to execute at the end.
