Wicket-Keeper batsman, Sanju Samson is in awe of Virat Kohli

Young batsman and wicket-keeping talent, Sanju Samson told TOI that he is highly inspired by skipper Virat Kohli. Says, Kohli is a role model.

New Delhi: Young wicket-keeping batsman, Sanju Samson recently lauded Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri. Sanju Samson talked to TOI and said that Kohli and Shastri keep the atmosphere of dressing room positive. Steve Smith also lauded Kohli for his consistency across various formats some days back. Even Sreesanth spoke highly of Kohli, when he was expressing his desire to return to International cricket.

What all Sanju Samson spoke-

"It was the first time I was spending time with Virat Bhai in the dressing room. He may be very serious when it comes to work otherwise, but he’s very chill, and he is a very happy person to be around. The Indian dressing room is so positive and full of energy under Virat Bhai and Ravi sir."

Lauding Kohli's fitness, Sanju said-

"He is one of the best players in the world. The way he takes care of himself, the way he takes his nutrition, the way he trains, the way he takes recovery, he is a role model to me and to everyone."

Samson has been displaying his ace skills, playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL. Young talent from Kerala, made his debut in International cricket in 2015 playing T20 against Zimbabwe. He has proved his mettle in domestic cricket but still to create a mark in International cricket. Playing for Indian side, he has only been manage to produce meagre contribution from his bat so far.
