Kingston: Rain came to the rescue of the dismantled West Indies side as they were four down for 48 runs while struggling to save innings defeat at stumps on fourth day in the second test match played at the Sabina park stadium here on Tuesday.

India's accurate bowling attack troubled the West Indies batsmen and it was possible that India would have wrapped up the match on the fourth day itself. The heavy rains forced the umpires to call off the day’s play midway.

Hosts still need 256 runs to make India bat again with six wickets in the hand. Windies upper order failed miserably again disciplined bowling.

Ishant Sharma took two wickets, while Amit Mishra and Mohammed Shami managed one wicket each. Jermaine Blackwood (3 runs) was on the crease as the final ball before rain stopped play took wicket of Bravo.

Match Highlight:

West Indies: 196 and 48/4.
