Mumbai: MP Cricket association life member, Sanjeev Gupta has filed a complaint against Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. Gupta stated that a person cannot hold multiple positions and it is against ethics of BCCI. BCCI ethics officer, DK Jain said on Sunday that he is examining the same complaint against Kohli.

As per complaint of Sanjeev Gupta

As per the complaint made by Gupta, Kohli occupied two positions-

One is captain of team Indian and director of project where in, its co-directors are linked to a talent management company. And that talent management company has several teammates of Kohli on board. Hence, it falls under 'conflict of interest' category. According to BCCI norms, an individual can not occupy multiple positions.

How the situation is under conflict

Virat Kohli is one of the directors at Cornerstone Venture Partners LLP and Virat Kohli Sports LLP. Now his co-directors are Amit Arun Sajdeh (Popular as Bunty Sajdeh) and Binoy Bharat Khimji. Khimji and Sajdeh are part of Talent Management company, Cornerstone Sport and Entertainment Private Limited. This company manages commercial interests of big names like KL Rahul, Pant, Jadeja, Kudeep Yadav, etc.

However, Kohli doesn't have a role in this management company. But, he occupies two positions which in termed as " infructuous" by BCCI.

Complaint states-

“In view of the above, Shri Virat Kohli is occupying two posts at a time in blatant violation to BCCI Rule 38 (4) approved by Supreme Court Of India. As such, he must relinquish his one post at once in compliance...,”

Sanjeev Gupta had made complaints against cricketing giants like Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman, and Kapil Dev. Finally, they had to step down from one of their positions.
