Virat Kohli on becoming a dad: Has been the greatest moment in my life

Indian Cricket team captain, Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma welcomed their first child, a baby girl last month, and recently revealed that they named her 'Vamika' with a photo. For his child's birth, Virat had taken paternity leave during the Australia Vs India test series after the first test match and headed home. However, while being at home, he kept in touch with the game while waiting for his first child's arrival.

Now, ahead of the India Vs England test match, Virat shared his thoughts on becoming a dad and missing out on the greatest test series of all times.

Virat Kohli shares his thoughts:

During an interaction with the media & Times Now, Virat was asked to share his thoughts on becoming a dad and also missing out on the exciting Border-Gavaskar matches after the first game. On this, Virat shared that becoming a father was the 'greatest moment of his life.'

He further added that his work and his love for his team cannot be compared to his family. He shared how he was watching the game when the doctor called him and Anushka. Also shared that under no circumstance his connection with the team can fade.

Sharing his thoughts on welcoming his baby girl with Anushka

Virat said, "I don't think the two can be compared. To me becoming a father has been and will remain the greatest moment in my life. And that is something that has to be experienced to understand what I'm saying. Secondly, the connection to the team does not go away in any situation, especially when you've given everything for the team."

The cricketer is back on the field and all set to take on England with Team India on home ground.

Recently, Anushka had penned a note on social media about welcoming daughter Vamika into their lives and also revealed the name. Along with it, she shared a first picture of the family of 3 and left the internet in awe. Since then, fans have been gushing over Virushka and their newborn.
