New York: Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza on Sunday was defeated in the second round of the mixed doubles at Flushing Meadows here in US Open.

Indo-Russian pair of Sania-Ivan Dodig lost 3-6, 4-6 to Czeck, Croatian duo Barbora Krejcikova and Marin Draganja.

The match lasted 65 minutes.

The second round winners will take on Americans Coco Vandeweghe and Rajeev Ram in the quarter-finals.

Earlier, Leander Paes was ousted from mixed doubles and men’s doubles categories in US Open.
