New Delhi: The Indian Hockey Team has created history in the ongoing Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. In the match being played for the bronze medal, India defeated Germany 5-4 and won the Olympic medal after 41 years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also congratulated the team on this victory. He has said that India is proud of its hockey team. The last time India reached the podium to win a medal in hockey at the Olympics was in 1980.
