New Delhi: India's tennis star Sania Mirza is going to retire from tennis. Sania gave this information after losing in the Australian Open.

Sania Mirza said, 'I have decided that this will be my last season. Sania's name is taken among the top tennis stars of the world. Sania, who made her mark at an early age, has also been very good in studies.
Her father has an important contribution in making Sania successful. Sania started playing tennis at the age of six at the Nizam's Club in Hyderabad. Sania took her initial coaching from Mahesh Bhupathi's father and successful Indian tennis player CK Bhupathi.
Sania Mirza on Wednesday announced her retirement plan after losing in the women's doubles first round at the Australian Open 2022. Mirza and her Ukrainian partner Nadia Kichenok lost 4-6, 6-7 (5) to Slovenian team Tamara Zidansek and Kaja Juvan in sets of one hour and 37 minutes.
Kichenok's game was completely lifeless today as she kept making endless errors with her racket throughout the match. However, Sania will now play in mixed doubles with American Rajeev Ram. After the loss, Sania Mirza made the shocking announcement that the 2022 tour is going to be her last season when she really wants to finish it better.

Sania Mirza was born on 15 November 1986 in Mumbai. Whereas Sania's early education took place at NASR School in Hyderabad. After this, Sania Mirza also did her studies here from St. Mary's College in Hyderabad.
In the year 2004, Sania was awarded the Arjuna Award by the Government of India. In view of the contribution made to the tennis game to Sania Mirza, the Government of India has also awarded her the Padma Shri award in the year 2006.
