In the 55th match of IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant century in Mumbai's victory, Surya played an inning of 102 runs in 51 balls, Surya hit 12 fours and 6 sixes in his innings.

Surya has been awarded the title of Player of the Match for his century innings. Let us tell you that by scoring a century, Surya has made a special record in his name. In fact, Surya has become the only Indian batsman in IPL history who has the record of scoring a century during a successful run chase while batting at fourth or lower order. Before this, no Indian batsman had achieved such a feat in IPL. By the way, Ben Stokes in the year 2017 and David Miller in the year 2013 had done wonders by scoring brilliant centuries during the run chase.

Talking about the match, on the basis of Suryakumar's unbroken partnership of 143 runs in 79 balls with Tilak Verma (37) for the fourth wicket, Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven (7) wickets here on Monday. "I am doing this after a very long time. This is the first time since December 14 that I fielded for 20 overs and batted for 18 overs. I am fine though," Suryakumar Yadav said at the post-match awards ceremony.
