Rio de Janeiro: South Korea's Jin Jong-oh created a history on Wednesday after becoming the first player to win a specific event (50 metre pistol) at three games in a row.

Making a comeback from near elimination Jin Jong-oh created the history.

Kim Song Guk of North Korea, 30, won the bronze in the same event.

Jin defeated Vietnam's Xuan Vinh Hoang, who made history on Saturday last by winning his country's first-ever gold medal, in the 10 metre air pistol.

He had earlier won the gold medals in Beijing and London.
