New Delhi: Former Indian captain, lovingly called as Dada, Sourav Ganguly turned 48 today. Cricket world is celebrating his special days by sending loads of good wishes and love on his way. Sourav Ganguly is currently the president of ultimate cricket authority in India, Board of Cricket Control India. (BCCI) The entire nation and cricket world is thankful to Dada for introducing some of the best talents to Indian Team. His captaincy saw incoming of talents like Zaheer Khan, MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, etc.

The nation applauds Ganguly for taking Indian cricket to new heights. Under his captaincy, India was too close to lifting World Cup in 2003. However, his name also came under some controversy. But, Ganguly dominated the Indian cricket by his class batting and mentoring skills. In total, he appeared in 11 Test Matches and 311 ODIs. Certainly, Indian cricket squad owes him a lot.
