Shardul Thakur dons jersey no. 10, gets trolled on Twitter
New Delhi: Shardul Thakur may have impressed in his international debut on Thursday against Sri Lanka but left fans of Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar infuriated when they find Thakur donning the No 10 jersey.
The pacer has become the subject of criticism after he was spotted wearing the famous No 10 jersey, the number used for Master Blaster for most of his career.
With Indian skipper Virat Kohli already hinted to continue to experiment, Thakur is likely to appear in the final ODI of the five-match series.
Shardul, who was part of the Indian squad since 2016 when the Men in Blue toured West Indies, becomes the 218th player to make India debut in the 50-over format.
