Sanju Samson slams first ton of IPL 10 to lift DD to 205/4 against RPS

Pune: Sunju Samson smashed the first hundred of the ongoing Indian Premier League season 10 (IPL 10) to help Delhi Daredevils (DD) post a huge score of 205/4 against Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) at Maharashtra Cricket Stadium here on Tuesday.

Samson was simply sensational throughout his 63-ball inning during which he scored 102 runs with the help of 8 fours and 5 sixes. Right after Samson's departure, the limelight was grabbed by Chris Morris who played a fantastic 9-ball cameo scoring 38 runs hitting 4 fours and 3 monstrous sixes.

Opener Sam Billings once again got off to a good start scoring 24 runs off 17 balls with 4 fours, but failed to go long. Rishabh Pant, who was once again looking in great touch, fell prey to a fine throw by Mayank Agarwal, as he got run out after adding 31 runs off 22 balls, with 1 four and 2 sixes.

Corey Anderson, who was recalled in the squad for Carlos Braithwaite, failed to make a mark in this match.

Imran Tahir was once again outstanding in his four overs as he conceded just 24 runs in his four over and also got the wicket dangerous Billings. Deepak Chahar (1/35) and Adam Zampa (1/45) were the only other successful bowlers for RPS. Ben Stokes, who was hit for 23 runs in his last over, conceded 41 runs in his four overs and remained wicket-less.

It may be mentioned that it was the maiden century of Sanju Samson in his IPL career. Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) will soon come back on the ground to chase down a gigantic target of 206 runs.
