Sachin Tendulkar gifts BMW cars to Sindhu, Sakshi, Dipa Karmakar

Hyderabad: Displaying an exemplary sporting gesture, Indian Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday gifted the luxury machines, BMW to Olympic medalists PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik at a function held at the Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad.

Sindhu’s Coach Pullela Gopichand and star young Olympian Dipa Karmakar also were presented the BMW cars by the Hyderabad District Badminton Association President Chamundeshwarnath.

It may be mentioned that Tendulkar was the Goodwill Ambassador of the Indian team at Rio Olympics 2016 event.

He had announced to gift BMW cars to the Indian medal winners at the prestigious event.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his Man Ki Baat radio address on Sunday lauded PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik for their feat.

He said, “I salute Pullela Gopichand and I am proud of daughters of the country who did India proud at Rio Olympics.”
