Rio de Janeiro: India certainly is on the back foot with many top runners already out of the race in the ongoing Rio Olympics 2016, but players like Saina Nehwal and the very young Dipa Karmakar have rejuvenated the hope for medal for the country.

There were even doubts about his participation in the Rio Olympics after he failed to clear the dope test but he finally got clearance from the United World Wrestling (UWW).

3. Dipa Karmakar: On a way to script history, Dipa is the maiden Indian gymnast to enter the vault finals of the Rio Olympics. When the Tripura-girl will enter the Rio battlefield on August 14 with an aim to make her country proud.
