Rio 2016: Lilly King apologises to Yulia for not wishing her
Rio de Janeiro: American swimmer Lilly King won everyone’s heart after she apologised to Russia's Yulia Efimova for not congratulating her on winning a Silver medal, on Tuesday.
King, on Monday did not congratulate Yulia but hugged the bronze medal winner Katie Meili in the 100 metre breast stroke event.
She, had on Sunday, slammed Efimova being caught in drug cheating and stated that she was not a fan of the Russian swimmer, reported international media.
"I apologise for not wishing Yulia," King told reporters.
Yulia got her clean chit on the eve of the Rio Olympics, by the International Swimming Federation.
