Rio De Janeiro: India’s only Gold medal hope on Day 1 comes to an end as Shooter Jitu Rai finishes off at eighth position in the men’s 10 metre Air Pistol event during the ongoing Rio Olympics 2016 on Saturday.

Jitu was the first one to get eliminated from the eight-man final round with a total score of 78.7.

Final Results:

Pang Wei of China remains at first position with 590 points

Jin Jongoh of Korea bags second spot with 584 3 points

Juraj Tuzinsky of Slovakia comes third with 582 points

Hoang Xuan Vinh of Vietnam seizes fourth place with 581
