Rio de Janeiro: Finishing seventh in the women’s 4x400 metres event, India failed to enter the finals of the game on Friday in the Rio Olympics 2016 at Rio de Janeiro of Brazil.

The team including Tintu Lukka, Nirmala Sheoran, MR Poovamma and Anilda Thomas took 3:29:53 minutes in a 16-team contest in the Heat 2.

The teams including United States, Jamaica, Ukraine, Britain, Canada, Italy, Poland and Australia qualified for the finals.

The final game is scheduled to be played on Saturday.

India has won two medals (silver and bronze) in the Rio Olympics so far.
